Approximately 10 years ago, kitchens became more than just the heart of the home. Like the car you drive or the clothes you wear, they became a status symbol, thus changing our industry. In the past, we may have made our profit centers by adding a pullout waste bin or additional roll-out shelves, but like air conditioning and the AM/FM tape player in the automotive industry, they're now assumed to be inclusive in any mid- to upper-end project.
